French Art Deco Spelter Panther

I love the use of Panthers in Art Deco design. These spelter figures look gorgeous in a home and add elegance and distinction to any space. This fantastic example would be gorgeous in an entryway or in a dining room flanked by a pair of lamps.

In approximately 1914, these polished and brilliant cats began to be used in design thanks to their geometric shape and clean lines. Cartier helped make the Panther famous, by creating numerous jewelry designs showcasing the mighty panther. By the 1920’s, the panther was synonomous with deco design. A true classic in every sense.
