Chucs Restaurant Westbourne Grove

The Chucs brand, based upon 1950’s and 1960’s classic Italian lifestyle, celebrates craftsmanship, beauty and adventure. Its cafe on Westbourne Grove beautifully evokes these lifestyle attributes.

Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to help with this project and  curate vintage images which recall the exciting lifestyle of this historic brand. LGV also handled all negotiations of image rights, framing and installing of this project. The result is a chic collection of classic, vintage beach images that give the space a historic feel with a sense of development over time seemlessly tying back to the brand.

Belgravia Home

For this Belgravia home in London, Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source an eclectic mix of twentieth century furniture, lighting and objects. We found pieces with rich metallic tones and straightforward 1970s styles but also hints of Art Deco and animal themes. The result is a diverse mix of unique items highlighted by a gorgeous palette. Paris Opera Hotel

Parisian elegance and timeless refinement at a The Paris Opera Hotel; a landmark building which features a magnificent luxuriously decorated lobby.  Set in Paris’ vibrant Opéra quarter, near charming cafes, fine-dining restaurants and designer boutiques, this sumptuous Paris hotel is walking distance to the Opéra Garnier and the Champs-Elysées, and world-class shopping at rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps.

Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to help with the refurbishment of this grand dame and to source vintage, original, Scadanavian inspired classic dining chairs, club chairs and wing chairs to help modernize the large lobby space while giving it an eclectic , intimate, contemporary feel. The result is chic combination of vintage and modern pieces which give the space a sense of history and development over time.

The Beaumont Hotel

The Beaumont Hotel in London evokes the elegance and personalised hospitality of pre-war Mayfair while grand in style and intimate in feel. With 73 rooms, including 23 suites, a particular feature is ROOM, a suite in the form of an inhabitable sculpture by Antony Gormley. The hotel includes a classic Grill Room, an American Bar, a separate Residents’ Bar & Lounge, a Boardroom, and a Gymnasium and Spa with Hamam.

Our largest project to date, Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source vintage photos, paintings, furniture, barware, sculpture, clocks, candelabras, ceramics, books, chandeliers, and lamps for this project. We found a myriad of classic Art Deco pieces which added a sense of history and drama to the design scheme resulting in a property that is truly early twentieth century.

Fischer’s

Fischer’s in Marylebone, London,  is an informal neighbourhood café and konditorei warmly evocative of Vienna in the early years of the twentieth century.

The elegant interior design of the restaurant is brought fully to life through the design scheme allowing for a dining experience that conveys warmth and charm, engendering that European café society ambience

Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source vintage lighting, objects, paintings and photos to compliment the turn of the century Viennese interiors. We sourced multiple vintage paintings, sconces, antique black and white family photos, antique taxidermy, and beer steins.

The Delaunay

A cafe-restaurant in the grand Mittel European tradition located in the heart of London. Winner of the Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards 2012 Best New Restaurant amongst many others.

Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source early twentieth century vintage art focusing on a pre-war, mid European atmosphere. We acquired multiple paintings for the property that compliment the rich design scheme.

Zedel

A grand Parisian brasserie transported to the heart of London set within a listed Beaux Arts-Art Deco building with glorious, historic Art Deco interiors that also play host to a ‘Bar Américain’, ‘The Crazy Coqs’, a live music and cabaret venue and ZL Café.

Lauren Gurvich vintage was asked to source art for this project based upon the design scheme of a long standing French brasserie. We supplied vintage lithographs, posters, photos, objects and barware that added to the historic authority of the restaurant.

Colbert

Inspired by the great French boulevard cafés, Colbert is an informal, neighbourhood rendez-vous at the heart of Sloane Square, London.

Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source early and mid twentieth century film and music posters, along with vintage maps, barware and paintings that work beautifully with the rich red leather banquets and dark wood panelling to add a sense of history.

Bellanger

Inspired by the cafes of Paris. A relaxed, all-day, traditional French restaurant on Islington Green from the team behind The Wolseley and Brasserie Zédel. Lauren Gurvich Vintage was asked to source vintage sconces, lamps and art. The result is a warm, storied Northern French feel.
