1930s Commode By Suzanne Guiguichon

The beautiful color of this commode with stylish parchment and aged brass would look elegant in any home. I love the use of a commode as an end table next to a sofa.

This piece is drop dead fabulous and has a glamorous vintage appeal. Suzanne Guiguichon began her illustrious design career working with Maurice Dufrêne at La Maîtrise, the design atelier of the Paris department store Les Galeries Lafayette, from 1921 to 1929. In 1922 she made her Salon debut at the Salon d’Autumne and, three years later, left her imprint in Modernist and Art Deco design through her vast contribution to the 1925 Paris Exposition which many say is the actual beginning of the Art Deco era.

Her designs are incredibly sought after in the design world and her auction prices have risen dramatically over the years. This is a wonderful investment piece to hold onto for years!
