Large Gold and Amber Murano Bowl c. 1970’s

This bowl is stunning and very unusual! I love decorating with glass. When I saw this gorgeous multi-faceted diamond bowl by Mandruzzato, I had to have it. Its a true showpiece and has beautiful amber, copper and gold tones which make it a perfect neutral that matches most interiors.

Its rich, deep gleam adds the perfect light and depth to your space. It has an unusual grid design on the bottom that gives it a very special texture. It would be fabulous diplayed on your favorite table as a showpiece. Very chic and sexy.

It is believed that glassmaking in Murano originated in 8th century Rome, with significant Asian and Muslim influences, as Venice was a major trading port. Murano’s reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction of the city’s mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291.
