Signed Zebrato Murano Bowl c. 1960’s

This bowl is stunning and very unusual! I love decorating with glass. When I saw this gorgeous Zebrato bowl signed and with its original sticker, I had to have it. Its a true showpiece and is designed by Antonio de Ros.

Its rich, beautiful Amber Zebra strands of color make it a perfect neutral. The texture is fantastic, and its deep gleam adds the perfect light and depth to your space. I love that it multilayered with a clear glass outside.  It would be fabulous diplayed on your favorite table as a showpiece. Very chic and sexy.

It is believed that glassmaking in Murano originated in 8th century Rome, with significant Asian and Muslim influences, as Venice was a major trading port. Murano’s reputation as a center for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction of the city’s mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291.
